The future of work is anyone's guess. Prepare for it by teaching your people to read themselves and the room, so they can best use their skills, whatever the change.
Workshops for parents, carers and career returners
People go on leave as one person and come back as a slightly different one.
Parenthood, caregiving and career breaks change the person and the job at the same time. They come back into a room that has moved on without them.
They're also the people you're most likely to lose.
Policy covers pay, leave and flexibility on paper. These workshops cover the rest, for mums, dads, carers and anyone coming back from a break.
"You do have a new identity. You are a fundamentally different person, and that is just not being acknowledged."

MANAGING EXPECTATIONS
Before leave
Which of my old rules still apply?
How to decide what changes and what stays, before the baby arrives.
They leave with: a clear view of what they're keeping and what they're letting go, so less energy goes on resentment and self-blame once they're back.
IDENTITY AT WORK
Coming back
who am I at work, now?
How to name what's changed, and own it.
They leave with: their Identity Reset Map: what's changed, what hasn't, and what they need from work now.
FLEXIBILITY & BOUNDARIES
Coming back
What does flexibility mean to me?
How to work out what you need, and ask for it.
They leave with: their own principles for flexibility and boundaries, how to communicate them, and how to negotiate fairly for them.
TRUST & RELATIONSHIPS
Coming back
who speaks for me when I'm not in the room?
How to build the trust and relationships that keep you in the picture on the days you're not there.
They leave with: a plan for the relationships that matter, and how to be seen for the work they do.
AMBITION & GROWTH
Coming back
Does my ambition still have a home here?
How to want more at work, on terms that fit your life now.
They leave with: a realistic growth plan, with flexibility built in from the start.
Each workshop is 90 minutes, live, online or in person. Book one, or run them as a series.
A workshop for anyone whose work is changing
HOW YOU TALK ABOUT YOURSELF
So, what do you do?
How to talk about yourself when work changes.
For new joiners, new roles, restructures, and anyone whose old answer has stopped fitting.
They leave with: an answer they believe, that's true, and that works at a dinner, in an interview and in writing.
Why now?
Work is personal. The laptop lives on the kitchen table, the team is spread across time zones, and more of what we used to learn from the person at the next desk now gets asked of an AI. Most of us learnt who to be at work by absorbing it from the room. The room is disappearing.
So people need to do for themselves what the office used to do for them:
Self-awareness: noticing what's going on in you, and why.
Self-regulation: choosing what you do with it.
Self-efficacy: trusting you can act, then acting.
Why social science, and why coaching
Social science studies how people behave, and how our surroundings shape who we become. Coaching gives each person space to work out what that means for them, right now. Together they give people tools to understand the world around them, and themselves within it.
Something bigger?
Coaching cohorts, a bespoke returners programme, or the same tools for new joiners and teams in the middle of change. Tell me what's happening and we'll work out the right shape.
